British Waterways Site - Pontcysyllte Aqueduct - The aqueduct is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, a candidate for World Heritage Status and a Grade I listed structure. It carries the Llangollen Canal across the River Dee, turning it into a waterway in the sky - 126 feet high above the river and 1,009 feet long. One of the most spectacular structures in Wales is set to take centre stage as a festival of events gets underway to commemorate its 200th anniversary.
Maelor Angling Association
The association was founded over 125 years ago and is based at Cefn Mawr, in the beatiful Dee Valley in North Wales
Water
The association has access to over six-and-a-half miles of pristine water on the River Dee. Salmon, Brown Trout and Grayling are plentful, along with good coarse fishing.
