Busch Gardens was started in 1959 by the Anheuser-Busch brewing empire. Later in 1965, Adolphus Busch created a gigantic animal park and opened the entire 65-acre Serengeti Plain.

The roller coaster Kumba which is made up of a giant steel roller coaster was introduced in Busch Gardens in 1993. This was designed by Swiss designer Bolliger and Mabilard. This coaster turns the riders upside down seven times in a single ride.

Another coaster attraction is the Gwazi, actually an African mythical animal that is part tiger, part lion. It is a pair of wooden giants consisting of the Lion and Tiger trains. Designed to achieve extreme speed, airtime and highly banked turns, the trains speed past each other in daring flybys. It was designed by Great Coaster International designer MikeBoodley and Clair Hain.

Downtown Disney"s Pleasure Island is a meeting place for young ones who love late night parties.
